On October 7, more than two hundred guests gathered on the east bank of the Hudson to celebrate the official groundbreaking of One&Only Hudson Valley.
Arrival
Guests arrived at a clear pavilion beneath the tree canopy, where a corn-husk chandelier hung over the bar. The Culinary Institute of America laid out the valley at its October best, with delicata squash, quince, local cheeses, pomegranate and maple, and Milea Estate Vineyard poured.
The groundbreaking
Rick Tietjen and CIA President Michiel Bakker welcomed everyone to campus, and Brent Reynolds of Nolan Reynolds International spoke about the vision that brought One&Only here. Then, on the bank above the river, the partners turned the first soil.

A first look at the Orchard Club
The evening also brought a first look at the Orchard Club, the private gathering place reserved for owners. It is being imagined around long dinners by the fire, a bar that follows the seasons, music, and evenings on the terrace.
